Who we are?
Whaler’s Guesthouse is locally owned by two childhood friends, Dylan and Mark. Both Dylan and Mark have always had an affinity for nature, having bonded thru their schools outdoor education program; they understand the lure of the waves and the call of the water. It has been important to them to make the westcoast experience as accessible as possible. Since purchasing the purpose-built hostel in 2014, they have used their own experience as surfers, fishing guides, travelers, and now parents to help inform their decisions such as building a proper heated surfboard and wetsuit storage building, establishing an adventure centre to coordinate eco adventures, providing an outdoor eating space with bbq, options for private rooms as well as a games room and bike rentals.
